Board Member ~ Allen Glass

Allen Glass has lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa his entire life.  His parents, Don and Judy, grew up in Cedar Rapids as well.  Allen graduated from Washington High School and subsequently attended Kirkwood College.  Presently, he works for Nordstrom Department Store in the Fulfillment Division. 

Allen met his wife, Becky, on a blind date that a mutual friend set up.  Becky is a computer programmer who grew up in Atkins, Iowa.  They both are members of Central Park Presbyterian Church.  Allen enjoys camping and pheasant hunting.  He is also an avid fisherman and loves to fish for trout in the mountains.  His favorite food is pizza and his favorite movies are ones with John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, or James Bond. 

Allen serves on the Camp Board and is a member of the Buildings and Grounds Committee.  When Allen was growing up, his family participated in the Family Camp events at Camp Wyoming.  In fact, his family has been coming to Camp Wyoming since the 1970s.  He remembers playing Capture the Flag and exploring the caves on the camp property as a kid.  Allen is happy to see the vast improvements at Camp Wyoming and hopes more people come out and enjoy the experience of being at Camp.
