Volunteer ~
Erik Liljegren
Erik
has been a familiar face at Camp Wyoming ever since he was a
little tot attending You & Me Camp with his parents. Erik continues to
frequent the camp by volunteering for programmed retreats such as
Wintertainment and Confirmation Retreats.
Erik
grew up in LeClaire, Iowa and was an active youth in the Our Savior
Presbyterian Church and Camp Wyoming. Erik graduated from Pleasant
Valley High School in Bettendorf, and pursued a degree in Family
Services from the University of Northern Iowa. After graduating from UNI, Erik felt the call for ministry and is finishing his second year at
the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. Erik currently serves
as the Student Pastor at First Presbyterian in Hazelton, Iowa. When
Erik has free time, he likes to read, play the guitar, ride his bike and
go trout fishing.
Erik will be opening a
new chapter of his life this Winter when he and Tracey Chard unite
in marriage. Erik met Tracey (Tracey came to Camp Wyoming from
Australia to fill the International staff position) when the two of them
served as counselors during the summer of 2004. Erik is thankful
for the experiences at Camp Wyoming and is always encouraging any youth
he encounters to attend.
Thank you Erik for your love
and passion of Camp Wyoming.
