When calling Camp
Wyoming, chances of the voice answering the phone will be that of Ginger
Thomas. Ginger began her employment with Camp Wyoming in 1994. Some of
her duties include putting together the quarterly newsletter,
maintaining the Camp website, rental scheduling and summer
camp enrollment. Ginger enjoys the positive direction Camp Wyoming has
been heading with the updating of buildings, the Camp’s online
presence and the continued effort to build community ties.
Ginger and her
husband Mark, live in Wyoming with their one of a kind dog,
Jake, and two furball cats, Oliver and Grace. Mark is a Propane Specialist with AgVantage FS in
Onslow, Iowa.
Ginger grew up in
Onslow, Iowa and graduated from Midland Community High School in 1988.
Ginger serves as a volunteer EMT
with the Midland Ambulance, and performs part-time duties as the
City Clerk for Onslow. She is
very passionate about animal welfare and is hopeful that someday puppy
mills and home breeders will no longer exist. She feels people need to be
responsible and have their pets spayed or neutered rather than allowing
them to reproduce for the mere sake of making money. After all,
fancy breeds mean nothing to the pets, only to the selfish owners.
There are thousands of deserving animals dying to get out of
shelters, consider adopting one (or two) today!
