Volunteer ~ Sthomas Henderson
Sthomas Henderson
of Davenport, Iowa has been a familiar face around Camp Wyoming for the
past 7 years. That’s 7 lucky years for us! He was introduced to Camp
Wyoming through his church, St. Andrew Presbyterian in Davenport.
Sthomas first attended the Summer Games camp session and from there fell
in love with Camp Wyoming. Sthomas has spent the last three summers
being a volunteer counselor (when he can) at Camp Wyoming. He enjoys
seeing the kids and staff each year.
When Sthomas wasn’t volunteering this
past summer he spent a good deal of time working for a car dealership in
Davenport; splashing at Wisconsin Dells waterparks; and advancing his
All-Star baseball team all the way to St. Louis! In his free time,
Sthomas likes to watch television, especially American Idol and Deal or
No Deal. His favorite food is beans and rice, and favorite movie is
Dumb & Dumber. The last book he read was an autobiography of Michael
Jordan.
Sthomas will be attending Iowa State
University this Fall and majoring in History with the goal of becoming a
High School History teacher. He’s looking forward to dormitory life and
meeting new people from all different backgrounds. He may try out for
the baseball team but knows for sure he’ll participate in intramural
sports.
